The COF Special Needs Ministry exists to love and serve others by making it possible for individuals with special needs, and their families, to fully participate at Community of Faith. Every person matters to us and deserves to hear about Jesus on their level.
Our gathering space is called The Sunshine Room. Individuals with special needs have buddies who meet them where they are and help them understand the good news that Jesus loves them. Our desire is to find the right placement for each child, so they can get the maximum value out of their experience. If you have specific needs or requests, our certified staff is here to assist you.
Every year, Community of Faith partners with The Tim Tebow Foundation to host Night To Shine. This unforgettable prom night experience is centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. At Night To Shine, guests are greeted by their very own buddy who serves as their host for the evening. Guests walk the red carpet and enjoy the VIP treatment, including a friendly paparazzi welcome, flowers, a beauty bar with hair & makeup stations, great food, fun games, and of course– the chance to dance the night away! The event is completed with a crowning ceremony where each guest becomes a prom king or queen!
This coming year, Night to Shine will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, and our hope and prayer is that we will be able to gather and celebrate in person! Stay tuned for more details about this spectacular event COF is proud to host!
