After serving as missionaries for nearly ten years in Mexico, Laura and I felt strongly that God was drawing us back to the Houston area. We soon realized that God was giving us the dream to live life on mission and start a church with His heart for people. With the help of a few families, we committed to making this dream become a reality, and in the spring of 2003, Community of Faith began. From the beginning, we have focused on reaching those far from God so they can experience His love and become committed followers of Jesus. We believe in being authentic and creating a place full of acceptance, belonging, and support – ultimately helping people find hope and freedom. We partner with several community organizations in Houston and many different NGOs around the world. Over the years, we have built orphanages in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, re-built an entire community, new school, and health clinic for the Batwa people in Burundi, Africa, aided families impacted by natural disasters, partnered with organizations to support survivors of human trafficking here in Houston, and so much more.
