Rooted

CONNECT WITH GOD, THE CHURCH, AND YOUR PURPOSE.

Rooted is a 10-week small group experience designed to connect you to God, the church, and your purpose. Together, in a group of 8 people, you’ll explore the Bible, engage in prayer and serve experiences, share stories, and practice rhythms essential to a healthy spiritual life. These spiritual rhythms aren’t new or something the church recently created, every one of them is found in Acts 2, where the early church began. We will provide you with a facilitator who is trained to come alongside your group to help you get the most out of the experience. Join us for Rooted this fall, starting on Wednesday, September 2!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What is ROOTED?

ROOTED is a 10-week discipleship experience designed to deepen your relationship with God, strengthen your connection with others, and help you discover God's purpose for your life. More than a Bible study, ROOTED provides a safe environment to build authentic relationships while practicing foundational rhythms of the Christian faith.

2. What will I learn in ROOTED?

Throughout this 10-week experience, you'll discover and practice the 7 Rhythms of a Disciple, modeled by the early church as described in Acts 2.

  • Daily devotion (Acts 2:42,46)
  • Prayer (Acts 2:42)
  • Repentance (Acts 2:37-39)
  • Sacrificial generosity (Acts 2:44-45)
  • Serve the community (Acts 2:44-45)
  • Share your story (Acts 2:14-36)
  • Worship (Acts 2:26-28, 46-47)

These rhythms are designed to help you continue growing in your faith long after ROOTED is complete.

3. Do I have to attend ROOTED in person?

Yes. We strongly encourage and highly recommend experiencing ROOTED in person. Meeting face-to-face allows you to build meaningful relationships, engage in authentic discussions, and fully experience the journey alongside your group.

4. Do I have to go through ROOTED with my current small group?

You have options! If your current small group is participating in ROOTED together, you're welcome to join them. You may also choose to experience ROOTED with a new group and return to your regular small group once the experience is complete.

5. Can I purchase just the ROOTED book instead of paying the $45 registration fee?

The $45 registration fee covers the materials, resources, and experiences provided throughout the full ROOTED journey, including the ROOTED Participant Guide, t-shirt, graduation certificate, and celebration experience.

Our desire is for every participant to experience all that ROOTED has to offer at Community of Faith and to feel fully equipped and connected throughout the journey.

6. What happens after ROOTED is over?

ROOTED is just the beginning! After completing the experience, you may:

  • Continue meeting with your ROOTED group as an ongoing small group.
  • Join another existing small group.
  • Explore becoming a small group facilitator.

Our Small Groups team will help you discover your next step to continue growing in your faith.

7. ROOTED is a 10-week commitment. What if I miss a few sessions?

Because each week builds on the previous one, participants may miss no more than two sessions and still complete the experience.

If you know in advance that you won't be able to commit to the full 10 weeks, we encourage you to register for our next ROOTED session in Spring 2027 so you can receive the complete experience.

8. Who will be in my group?

Existing small groups are welcome to register together. If you’re not already part of a group, our Small Groups team will thoughtfully place you in a group to help create the best possible experience.

While you may hope to be with someone you already know, ROOTED is also an opportunity to build new relationships with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Many participants leave ROOTED with lifelong friendships.

9. Is childcare available?

Yes! Childcare will be provided during ROOTED gatherings.

10. Is ROOTED available in Spanish?

Yes! We are excited to offer Spanish-speaking ROOTED groups so that participants can experience ROOTED in the language they are most comfortable using.

11. Will food be available?

Yes. Our Community of Faith Café will be open from 6:00–6:30 p.m. before ROOTED begins. Groups are also welcome to bring snacks to enjoy during their gathering.
